You forget that in a modern family household the husband is 50% of the vote, in both cases. In David's case I certainly would not call Stroud Green Highgate borders and for goodness sake, he's going great guns for Tottenham since being re-elected. Time to cut him some slack, no?

What do you have to say to my comment about modern families and the 50% rule? I get to decide where dinner is (51%) I get to decide where my kids go to school (49%).

Sorry John, I missed out the 50% rule, probably because I've never had to apply it. I suppose the Jeremy Corbyn nuclear option is a bit of a last resort for a politician.
But any more shimmering examples of seasonal tinsel for the Glad Tidings lists ?

I know Jeremy used live on your road, but I'm sure he's lived in his constituency, Islington North, for quite a while - certainly at the time he wanted to send his son to Holloway Boys. Afraid the 50% rule blew up in his face.

Oh yes, he has certainly lived in Islington North for years - he used to live near Hornsey Lane, then after the schooling thing, and the split with Claudia he moved - as it happens further into Islington North.

Right David - I taught at the Highgate end of Hornsey Lane (Aloysius') for 25 years and certainly for my last decade there (-2003) Jeremy was our constant champion, 'Prize-Presenter' & Guest speaker every June/July. A man with no hangups about "State" v "Faith" schools, (Private Independents are beasts of a different stripe) - and highly respected by all of us whatever our politics.
