Harringay, Haringey - So Good they Spelt it Twice!

There is someone local (we are on Sydney Road) who is feeding our cat and keeping him in overnight. He now comes home sporadically, looking healthy, well fed, smelling of aftershave. If you know who this is, can you please ask them to not do this as I have 2 distraught children at home, waiting for their pet to come home.

Thanks!

Hahahahahahahaha! You're KIDDING? Please say you're joking.

cats are wanderers and don't particularly like children, who treat cats like toys. they are not owned by anybody. you cannot force a cat to stay overnight: it is a cat's choice. maybe your cat has made a good friend but he/she comes back home; so, where is the problem?

So you can tell the cat owners to the cat lovers with this thread

be a bit different if it was someones dog who had gone wandering

i so feel for you, I so used to worry my cats would wander off to neighbours as they fed them more expensive cat food (yes cats are very fickle but still my adored pet)

I know I few years ago what looked to me quite a thin noisy cat hung round my house all day?night for a few weeks and I started to feed him suspecting he was a stray]- But i also put  a cat collar on him, with  a bit of paper wrapped round with my name/number on it asking them to contact me,

i got a call the next day  from the owner- long chat no probs, didnt feed or let him in again

good luck

or else I would keep him in for a couple of weeks to get him settled again
