Harringay, Haringey - So Good they Spelt it Twice!
They've Finished the Pavement outside the Salisbury....So they've Dug it up Again
It seems to be one of those weeks in Harringay. First, we had the Polish grocery that's going to be Turkish. Now, no sooner is the new pavement outside the Salisbury laid, than we find a new bunch of workmen diving it up.
Aah, the rich tapestry of Harringay.

The unspent budget for roads and paving needs to be somehow used up by councils before end of march, otherwise it has to be returned. That's why there are so many 'Roadworks' this time of year.

What a complete and utter waste of money that Haringey Council say that they do not have.

Interesting that Clapham are having a regeneration scheme for 2.8 million. It looks pretty good, combined with Venn St improvements - hardly rocket science , just simple good planning, Vastly superior to the haringey scheme which is costing 4 million.
