Man who runs Athena Palace is quite well known up around the north part of the ladder. Particularly for doing business his way and letting the council play catch-up with guidelines and planning regs.

Steelgate was a fairly recent game of cat & mouse where eventually the ugly, high steel fence was removed from a Green Lanes property opposite the Athena Palace. Not before it had been turned into a impromptu carpark & skippark.

Athena man's business is wide & varied. That we know of seems to include 'hall for event hire', restaurant (never anyone there), adult learning courses (can't be too sure that's still happening), hotel and so on.
