Harringay, Haringey - So Good they Spelt it Twice!

Anyone interested in joining for a picnic ?
(on the banks of the Harringay stretch of
the New River, off Wightman Rd.) I was
inspired talking about St Martin Canal,
Paris, (near Gare du Nord,) with a French
Harringay resident, we agreed how lovely
it was in Summer for families to enjoy,
I thought we had something similar here
in our own back yard.

Next is a sunny day to predict.

I like this idea too. We could bring a bbq or two, a few drinks...how about one day over Easter?

Just don't hang your empty cans on the bushes

I would love to join in and could bring some yummy picnic food to share. Good Friday or Easter Monday would be good.

11-1 Easter Monday sounds good, what's the verdict?
Went down 9.30 to check it out, the muddy bog is firm, collected 5 bags of crunched cans, (watch kids on nettles on west side in long grass.)
Grass is short where we'll be picnicking, (plastic under a blanket will stop any dew from last nights rain getting through.) Sun is belting, let's make a day of it.

This is what you missed Therese.

A nice idea from Matt

Perhaps the time should be lengthened if we can get a consensus, sorry to have missed you there, if this happens once a month we could have four more events leading up to Sept, and May is only round the corner, let's get our calendars out, any suggestions?
