The Gospel Centre Food Bank Serving More People

Another two weeks have gone by since my last post here during which time we have seen a 25% increase in numbers served, including more families. Whilst we are continuing to find new ways to keep our stores stocked for those in need, the jump in demand is of course having an effect on our food supplies,

We are currently particularly in need of

• tinned vegetables
• fruit
• biscuits
• long-life milk
• pasta sauce and other cooking sauces
• hot chocolate.

We are grateful for the community's kindness in giving, especially at this time. We recognise that many of you have various issues that you may be trying to deal with.

As we get to know many of our 'clients' better, we are building up a better picture of their different situations and hope to be in a position to better support or signpost them in the future.

People can drop food when our usual sessions are open e.g. Sunday from 11-1pm and Tuesday 6.30-8.30pm. Also, the church is often open from Monday - Friday, especially until lunch time. The entrance is down the driveway to the right of the church and by pressing the top buzzer by the back door.
