Harringay, Haringey - So Good they Spelt it Twice!

Can anyone tell me why this big red van can be constantly parked on Green Lanes without incurring parking fines, clamps or towing fees?

It's a huge problem for the 29 and 141. Back, side.

Thanks Alan!

If you can get an email address for us to report to that would be great - I'd probably be using it twice a day

Update 15 August

The Parking Service replied to me earlier today saying they had sent removal vehicles to remove the car. But so far without success. However, they will continue "to enforce this location".

To make reports directly to Haringey they ask residents to use the email address: parking@haringey.gov.uk

As I suggested before, please attach a photo if you can. I also suggest that - for the time being - you don't copy any emails here, in case the car driver is keeping an eye on HoL.

Thanks Alan

I mailed Haringey Parking this morning and received a swift response promising action.

I'll update this thread as and when stuff happens.

This is now a blue van right? And still parked there...

Yes, and TFL has marked the pavement where the bus stop post will be moved to following the installation of the pelican crossing. And guess where it is? Right where the van parks all day long. The zig-zags along the edge of the pavement are not aligned with the ones in the centre of the road which would have reduced their perceived entitlement to park there.

I asked David Schmitz about this in his good news post, but no reply.

I'll email the council about this again - especially after buying a pint of milk this evening and seeing a customer purchase some goods from their secret stash. I won't be buying anything from them again.
