Thanks from Karen, David and Asha

Although our campaign was ultimately unsuccessful, it was nonetheless a wonderful experience for all of us, and we want to express our gratitude to those who made it so.

So thank you to the more than 1100 people who voted for us.

And thank you to all the people who encouraged us, by coming up to us in the street or waving.

And special thanks to the many who put up stakeboards and window posters.

And above all, many thanks to those who gave us so much time in canvassing and leafleting, especially during the frenetic last days.

It has been an immense privilege for Karen and David to represent the community as Councillors, and it has been, and remains, a pleasure for all three of us to serve the community generally.

Although our role in the community will naturally change, we fully intend to remain as active citizens, to take a full part in residents' groups and to help individuals in any way we can.

Finally, we would like to thank HOL members for the kind words they have said about our work.

We have taken our role as Councillors seriously, and we like to think that we've set the bar rather high.

It is now for others to show what they can do. We wish them luck and would like to thank them for the grace that they have shown to us in their hour of victory.
