Harringay, Haringey - So Good they Spelt it Twice!
Thank you to the Police
Last night at the LCSP meeting, we learned that the reported crimes level has gone down drastically over the last month. This is due no doubt to the hard work done by the Police. They have been everywhere on foot, by car, on horses, bicycles, in uniform and in disguise ! Only 3 days ago, I came across an impressive demonstration of this in the Harringay Passage. Mounted on magnificent horses they were patrolling the Alley ! Their mighty animals were scared of the bollard at the end of the Alley. But each of the policemen skillfully encouraged them to squeeze through. The Police deserve the public encouragement.
As no one went to their public meeting in Turnpike Lane, I wonder if we could say thank you to them, here, on HOL.

As I've said they used to be fantastic at engaging with people here on HoL, back when there were far fewer of us to engage with. There are a few very good Police Twitter accounts around doing a very good job of engaging with people. I'm curious to the purpose of the meeting in the park the night before their big operation. Did they want a show of support?
