TFM no longer occupying half the pavement
I just wanted to say how great it is to see that TFM on the corner of Green Lanes and Umfreville Road no longer occupy half the pavement with their wares. I asked inside and they confirmed that the Council had cracked the whip and made them restrict their products to the outdoor shelving and to not have boxes of produce on the floor as well. I think this is great. You can actually walk down the pavement now.

Hi yes I notice this the other day and about time,sometimes walking along with the pushchair it can not be easy with all those boxes around, just wonder how long it will last!

Yes, it's a significant improvement. Looks as though the otherwise much-criticised Council has done something beneficial here, so maybe we should give them credit for that and hope some of the other local problems (such as rubbish clearance and fly-tipping) will also be sorted out.
