Harringay, Haringey - So Good they Spelt it Twice!

well enough procrastinating ive wanted to learn to speak Italian since living there nearly 20 years ago and obviously now forgetting. so question is do i enroll at the local college or do 1-1 i would eventually like to live there so it is all part of the great plan what do you think?

You could start with an online language learning system called Babbel.com - I signed up for six months for about £10 and am starting to learn Portuguese.

The BBC website has free online audio and video courses in a variety of foreign languages including Italian.

You could try evening classes. Haringey has cut back on a lot of 'leisure' learning, and increased the fees, but still runs Italian beginners' classes. I think registration starts next week, and classes are held in Thursday evenings at Grieg City Academy, Hornsey High Street. It's £75 a term (10 x 2hr classes), cheaper for unemployed, older, and library card holders.  See
