Survey shows respect for law tops the values people think are important to living in Britain

Respect for the law, tolerance and politeness towards others top the list of values people think are important to living in Britain, new figures published today (27 August) show.

The Citizenship Survey is the biggest survey of its kind in England and Wales and asks for people's views about the local area, community cohesion, discrimination, values, interaction, civic engagement, volunteering and charitable giving.
