MCR Pathways is launching in Haringey and looking for volunteer mentors!
MCR Pathways is a national mentoring charity supporting young people to achieve their potential. Since it was established in 2007, MCR Pathways has supported over 15 000 young people accross the UK, helping them build confidence, re-engage with education, and move towards a brighter future. This is made possible thanks to the commitment of dedicated volunteer mentors.
In 2026, the charity is partnering with Haringey Learning Partnership (HLP) to support students who may be at risk of permanent exclusion and who would benefit from a short-term break from their mainstream school, with the aim of helping them reintegrate successfully. A mentor can be a steady, consistent and encouraging presence during this period of change, making a meaningful difference to a young person’s confidence, motivation and future opportunities. Mentoring is also highly rewarding for volunteers – when one person mentors, two lives are changed.
