Harringay, Haringey - So Good they Spelt it Twice!
Street vandalised in the night
Our street - Umfreville - has been vandalised for the second time last night. Plants and shrubs torn apart and scattered in the road, car windscreen wiper snapped. a wall damaged. A few weeks ago someone (probably the same person) snapped off several of our new street trees, which we fundraised for last year. A bit heartbreaking and also scary.
I'm wondering if any other streets have seen this pattern of damage or if we are uniquely targetted - I'm assuming that some kind of drug house has opened up again locally, as there have also been several cases of people collapsed in the street or wandering delirious on Green Lanes.
We keep reporting things to the police, but so far nobody has actually responded or been round to see what is happening.

The police was outside my house on Umfreville Road,at 3.30am speaking to the person responsible for the damage but let him go.

As I’ve already reported he then ran rampant in Burgoyne damaging rose plants etc. We were woken at 5.30 to trashed bins being bashed by a for sale sign. Police called by a neighbour earlier. The person responsible was arrested and taken away in an ambulance. He was known to the police. Obviously mentally I’ll.
