Harringay, Haringey - So Good they Spelt it Twice!

Hi

A few friends in the gardens are starting to do edible gardens in our front gardens. i would like to extend this greening out to have street art on walls and houses in the gardens area. So of some sort of trees, flowers etc in the absence of the real thing.

Haringay Gardens seems to have the least trees, grass even a few daffs in any area of the borough!

So I am asking whether there are any street artists out there who would like some spaces in the gardens to do their street art on.

Or is being invited to do street art no longer street art!

Cheers

Cath

PS loads of people on our street loved having the art is trash street art when it happened. Got people talking who had never talked to each before.

Forgot to say. if you are interested can you email me cath.hassell@ech2o.co.uk. Thanks!

When you use the word 'Art' do you mean all art ? Do you include 'bad' art because there are a lot of people that think they are 'good' artists such as 12yo naughty boys/girls with spray cans. Bad art makes me depressed.

Two other things I would suggest for front gardens that are working for us:

- Bird feeders. We were getting no visits to a feeder in the back garden (too many cats passing through?), but we get loads in the front garden, so the kids can watch blue tits, great tits & sparrows from the living room window

- Native hedge plants like hawthorn, blackthorn etc - flowers in the spring, and help support a diverse ecosystem (unlike privet etc)

The first part of your post sounds a bit like the seeds that started up Incredible Edible Todmorden:
