Harringay, Haringey - So Good they Spelt it Twice!

We need your help!

We recently came home to find Harringey Council had dug up our garden and poured concrete for a bin store.  All without letting the owners know. It contained loads of plants and had been used to grow food.

Despite formal complaints, we have been told that the work will go ahead.  So we need your support in petitioning the council to save the space.  We will be so grateful if you could please take a moment to sign:

THANK YOU!

Good luck Aleece, really sorry to hear you've not yet persuaded them to change their mind. If ever there was a time to say that concreting over front gardens might not be such a great idea...
Do you have photos of what they have done?

Unfortunately we don't have "before" photos, which is quite upsetting for me as the council disputed the extent of my planting when I provided an itemised account. A lot of the plants had been grown from seed or were tiny plug plants, so rather unimpressive at that point in time.

Can you post a photo. I want to sign the petition but it would be good to see what they gave done.

Thank you. I'll keep trying...

This is rubbish...I can't believe the council would do this without even consulting you about it to explore other options (let alone all the other very good reasons for not doing it).

Have you shared this on other local pages in this area (the Noels Park site and Bowes and Bound Connect?

I'm a member of all 3 because we kind of live between all 3 areas, but don't have our own hyper local site...I can share it if you'd like?

It IS rubbish! (pardon the pun!) I'm more than happy for you to share this on our behalf, and will check out the sites myself also.  We're hoping that some local support force the council to stop and listen. Thank you!
