Harringay, Haringey - So Good they Spelt it Twice!

Hi all.

Last Thursday, while shopping at Iceland in Green Lanes, my bike was stolen!

It was chained to the lamp post by the shop.

Although I have little hope of getting it back, I would like to ask if anyone has seen it or has been offered to buy.

Its grey and black, with an electric motor in the front wheel.

Very distinctive. Has a frame with 3 triangles instead of 2 (80’s GT arrowhead! a classic) and Maxxie (brand name written on them)tyres with an orange band and black wheels.

it’s custom made and it took me 5 whole days to build from scratch, only to be stolen 72 hours after my first pedal!!!!

if anyone has any info, please do let me know. I would appreciate it.

 Thanks

Jorge

Sorry to read this, Jorge. It's hard enough to have a bike you've bought stolen, but all the more heart-breaking when you've built it yourself. I hope you find it.

Thanks Hugh.

I appreciate it

So sorry to hear this, it sounds like a great bike. Do you have a photo and will keep an eye out for it. What kind of lock was it?

Hi Alison.

It was so new that I only have a pic of the donor bike. Only the frame and the tyres remain on the other one, and the frame has been painted grey, but you will instantly recognise the bike. It’s such an unusual frame.

As per the lock, it was a cheap one. A chain inside a plastic sleeve. I admit it was not the best one, but if someone wants to steal something, they will no matter the lock.

here follows a pic for frame reference

thanks
