Harringay online

Harringay, Haringey - So Good they Spelt it Twice!

Bit of a random one, but HoL members seem like a  knowledgeable and eclectic bunch...

I'm looking to get some small off-cuts of stainless steel/aluminium to make a very small splash back edge behind our cooker (as well as a few other bits)

I've looked through Yellow pages on-line etc. without much obvious success (for such a small amount of metal) .

Has anyone got any experience of this or know somewhere reasonably local where i could get something like this or at least go and have a chat and see if they can give me some offcuts at a knocked down price

I've bought sheets of aluminium (and many other raw materials) on eBay and quite often the sellers will do you a deal on larger sizes or sizes other than what they have advertised if you get in contact before buying.

Failing that, give Chris Stacey or Martyn Buxton at Lincoln Binns a call on 01403 865 486. They're in West Sussex but they're a good, small metalwork plant that have done some work for me in the past - they might be worth a shot.

HTH.

Thanks for your reply.

Good tip that - I'll have a look on ebay.

B&Q, Homebase and Wickes do sheet metal. Aluminium, certainly, perhaps stainless too.

Otherwise, ring Metalsupermarkets in Acton - I've just been there - 020 8961 1414.

Brilliant, thanks
