St Paul's Harringay | New War memorial dedication

There was a short ceremony prior to the 11:00 service today (12th November), outside St Paul's Church to mark the hanging of the new war memorial.

The original memorial was lost when the old church burned down in 1984. This new memorial has been made possible by the painstaking research undertaken by Harringay local and active church member Bethany Burrows-Atherton.

In a short address, as well as paying tribute to Bethany for her work, Rev. Pete made the point that with the current wars in Ukraine and Gaza, war memorials serve to remind us all of the sacrifices imposed on communities by war.
