Harringay, Haringey - So Good they Spelt it Twice!

Nine times out of ten when I go out for a walk, someone spits relatively close to me or within ear shot. Usually it is joggers. Spitting or snorting out of nostrils is revolting and unhygienic at any time, but I’m astonished that people continue to do it during this pandemic. I don’t see female joggers spitting so why do guys feel it is necessary to do it?

Yes, in Barcelona, Lisbon and Prague it was a matter of course that pavements were disinfected overnight a number of times a week by sanitation departments. We sorely need such a service in Tottenham, where spitting seems to be a sport to some people.

We do though - Veolia has scarab sweeper vehicles that are used regularly. They are quite noisy - can't really miss them.

Do they disinfect the pavements?

They wash them, I'm not sure what the fluid used is

I missed one and it was right behind me on Fairfax Road!  Veolia cleaned the pavement. I'm glad as we also saw someone spitting on the pavement not long before Veolia arrived.

Yeah, was wondering this too.

Haringey council should be disinfecting the main roads on green lanes every morning.

It’s happening in nearly all other countries with a lower case rate , no excuses really.

Must be awful living close to boneheads.
