Complete PD100 DV Digital Video camera with Wide Angle lens, mains unit, no batteries but Sony NP batteries easily available. Has an on board mic but there's a simple Sennheiser shotgun mic needing simple battery LR45 button battery which plugs into side socket.
Also: camera manual, rain cover, remote controller, eye piece, Video and Audio leads, spare DV tape, an XLR unit which goes on top to use XLR professional microphones as well as a more professional unit called the Beech Box. The Beech Box takes two mic inputs via XLR and relays back into the camera via a short mini jack 3.5mm plug on the camera. The camera sits above this so the small profile is maintained. The Beech Box fits onto a tripod plate with the 3/8ths screw.
This alternative sound unit has both Line and Mic inputs for XLR x 2 professional sound mics you might have or hire. This unit fits under the camera and the lead connects with the sound input socket on the camera. This unit has a screw thread to connect with a tripod plate. Invaluable for high quality shooting.
Sound monitoring requires headphones which are not supplied here.
This camera is handy for high quality handheld shooting as it's DVCam/Mini DV tapes. Skateboarders love it! It’s DV picture quality is good and sound options professional. The internal menus are as follows: in Record Mode AND in Playback Mode. In Menu mode there is a flicker when selecting options in both modes but you can still select any item you need with a little patience ! Once selected normal shooting is trouble free. Current setup is best quality and records fine. “Clock reset” message may occur after a period of non use but this is to do with an internal battery that needs replacing within the camera body - needing a repairer like Sendean Cameras etc. I have simply reset the clock before shooting - easy to do.
