solar panels - how to get instant quote online

A while ago we had a discussion* about solar panels. I thought I would share with you this website where you can get an instant indicative quote for installing solar photovoltaic panels on your roof.

I found it quite useful for getting an idea of how much it would cost and how much of a good investment if would be (a very good one, at the moment). 

The website is run by Solar Century, a reputable company founded by Jeremy Leggett, a well known environmental campaigner. Once you get the quote you have the option of asking Solar Century's partner companies to get in touch with you for a real quote. Of course I would also advise getting quotes from other unrelated companies too, which is what we are doing at the moment.

The quotes we are getting from these companies are pretty similar to the one that had been given to us through the calculator - although of course a lot more detailed - so it's worth using it as a first step to get some sense of costs and benefits, I think.
