Harringay, Haringey - So Good they Spelt it Twice!

I've just watched a couple zig-zag their way up Seymour Road, knocking at seemingly random doors - none of which anyone answered - and occasionally stopping to monitor the street. They must each have knocked at ten or fifteen houses on each side of the street. They very clearly weren't leafletting or flyering or canvassing opinions of any kind.

So I'm curious as to what this signifies?

Casing places for future reference?

Trying to find somewhere with only little old ladies ion?

What?

If is the guy who knocked on my door he offered to do gardening work.

Wearing yellow?

I'd be a lousy police witness. I have my head deep in work and I'm afraid I din't pay that much attention.

Couple. 30s. Bloke wearing a yellow T-shirt / top. Woman wearing grey. Yellow srtipe on top.

White.

Not English.

Just seemed a very weird random way of drumming up business, if that's what they were doing.

You put me to shame!

Ok, thanks for the heads up. It might be nothing to be worried about, but always good to be vigilant, especially at this time when friends and neighbours are on holiday. Today have only been called on by the Water Meter people; all in blue and carrying ID.

Checking properties were empty? I once had someone ring my bell at 3am when I had scaffolding up for a roof repair, think they were looking for somewhere to squat.
