smoke alarms

The fire brigade put up smoke alarms in my flat a few years ago, but unfortunately one fell down 10mins after they left and now the other one is beeping every few seconds. looking on line, these alarms are under warrantry for 10years and the batteries arent replaceable

So my question is does anyone know how i contact the fire brigade to get them to re install them, before I chuck mine in the bin to shut it up. At the moment i have ripped it off the ceiling and hidden it in a draw
