There is a skip without a licence on my road filled to the brim with rubbish dumped by people who don't live around here. They just drive up and empty their rubbish in the skip and drive off. Stuff is put next to the skip or lying around on the pavement in front of the house. People are rummaging through everything to find something thereby dropping items on the road and pavement. It's a disgrace.
The skip is unlicensed and building work being done by the owner of the property is unlicensed too. I checked, contacted the council but they never got back to us.
Meanwhile 5 months have passed and the former HMO is being converted into a 5 flat property in an already very busy road with almost no parking space.
The owner is the co owner of Harringay 's most popular Turkish restaurant. He doesn't live here and clearly does not give a toss about what's happening.
For years we have been fighting for them to not dump rubbish or mattresses on the pavement for the drug dealing from the property to stop, but the council doesn't take action and this keeps on happening.
What can we do because this is getting to a point where we, the neighbours, are losing our minds.
My current view is of a skip filled to the brim, overflowing rubbish on the pavement and I have had to close the curtains in our front and bedroom to stop getting annoyed about this.
Grateful for any advice.
I am and have been boycotting this restaurant for years obviously because they are definitely not getting a dime from us.

Well. My pregnant neighbour achieved what we couldn't, the skip will be removed today or tomorrow. She posted on her Instagram and called them out. They replied within minutes to her messages. And the owner came to see her this morning and apologised and promised the skip will be gone asap. He made the phone call in front of her. The power of social media.
the step you missed was telling him you posted on here - doubt he looks at it - probably more locally influential than insta if only he knew it. next time tell the person you've called then out on here.
