I'm trying to navigate skip hire for 7 days to be placed outside my house on Effingham.
I understand I need a skip licence:

But is an additional parking bay suspension mandatory as this works out at an additional £57 per day when you include the admin fee.

This puts the total skip hire cost at nearly £1,000 for a week which seems very steep.
Also anyone got any good links for skip hire

When we needed a skip due to building work last year, we went for wait and load. It was a fraction of the cost of a parking bay suspension.
You do need space to store all your rubbish and a couple of people to help load the skip, but it worked very well for us. And we didn't have the issue of fly tippers putting stuff in our skip in the middle of the night.
Thanks Julie, that's what I've traditionally done but unfortunately this is soil and rubble so it's not really an option
