Six charged following disorder in High Road N22

Six young men, aged 15 to 18 years, are due to appear at Highgate Magistrates Court having been charged with violent disorder following an incident on 19 October at McDonalds in High Road N22 in which four young men were taken to hospital with stab injuries and subsequently discharged.

Three of those discharged from hospital are among those due to appear at court charged with the offence.

Overnight a further two two young men, aged 16 and 17 years, have been arrested in connection with the incident and remain in police custody.

Patrols have been increased in order to provide community reassurance.

A Section 60 Power of Search was authorised for N22, N17, N15 and N8 postcodes within the Borough of Haringey, this was reviewed this morning when Supt Barclay authorised a borough wide Section 60 Power of Search to be in place until 06:00 hours on Saturday 22 October when it will be reviewed again.
