Sitting comfortably, Ma'am? Women and the history of the side saddle.

I shall be in the Stroud Green library at 3pm on Saturday, giving a LAVISHLY ILLUSTRATED talk about society's attitude to women over the past few thousand years as illustrated by the development of the side saddle.

My findings are that the two are correlated. It's gripping stuff -- hope to see you there.

Sadly I can't go, but I've met Lydia a couple of times at HoL drinks and I think I'll be pretty safe hazarding a guess that this talk will be entertaining, intelligent and informative. So, if you have a spare hour or so, do go along.
