We are pretty sure it was a siskin we saw when we were walking along Etherley Road yesterday afternoon. It was swooping through the front gardens. My husband had seen it and heard it earlier in the week. Can anyone else confirm such a sighting?

Now I come to think of it, I remember thinking it did not have a finch beak. It may have been a coal tit. It was about the size of a long-tailed tit but was not one of those. It had a forked tail, but not very forked. I did not have my bins at the time so my description is pretty hopeless!
