Single website for all UK Government launches in beta

A beta (test) version of the planned single government web domain has been posted at www.gov.uk.

The aim is to give a singel port of call fro anything 'governmenty' you want to find. Among the innovations is a function that detects the user's probable location, in order to direct questions like "rubbish collection" to a deep link in the correct local authority website.
