Hi
wondering if anyone can share their good experiences with shutter blind companies, as after initial research, I am baffled by the amount of choice and extreme price differences…
Just after some for a standard Victorian terrace bay window, can anyone give me some tips?
thank you!

Hilarry's were good for us. Not too pushy and we made use of a sale they had on. So far so good!
Thank you! Have booked an appointment
I got mine from John Lewis - very pleased with them
Have used a couple of the cheap blinds companies in the past - cheapestblinds.com for wooden venetian blinds, blindsdirect.com for roman blinds, and Vale Blinds for velux blackouts. All of them have been fine. The main thing to say is, make sure to check their guidelines for measurements and then measure (at least) twice before ordering.
If you mean the big fold-back shutters rather than blinds, when I did research a few years ago, a lot of the price difference seemed to come down to the materials used and whether you can fit them yourself or want them to be fitted for you. I went for wooden Shutterly Fabulous for this house (think in a sale or some special offer, they are quite expensive) which are great but have bought cheaper ones from the California Shutter Company for my previous flat which looked fine, not quite as good (slightly plasticky looking finish) but did the job fine, and were cheaper because I had to measure up and fit them.
Yes, that’s what I’m after. Thanks for the tips! Did you find fitting them yourself straight forward enough?
It was pretty straightforward. We didn't go try the DIY option in this house as we have two young children and the idea of doing it ourselves with them running around didn't appeal at all! The California Shutter Company had a lot of youtube guides to measuring and then fitting which helped. If you're a competent DIY-er and there's two of you, you'd manage fine. Think it'd be tricky as a one-person job.
