The commercial enterprise, Georgians padel courts, are seeking approval to cover their padel courts with large permanent structure and pitching it as a community asset for all when courts cost £60 to £90 per session, pretty unaffordable for most.
I think this is great shame and an eye sore on a beautiful and historic green space. And harm to Metropolitan Open Land (MOL) — loss of openness...
The original padel courts were approved because:
They were low impact
They did not materially harm openness
A large permanent structure completely changes that.

Thanks for the warning. It took me half an hour on the council’s website to find out how to object. If we’re not careful, the playing fields will go the way of Finsbury Park.
