Seven Sisters Stories

Running from Holloway to Tottenham, Seven Sisters Road has many stories to be told. Join us in this project to unearth a history that is filled with memories, from Jimi Hendrix burning his guitar in the Rainbow Theatre at Finsbury Park to the founding of the street in 1829 and it’s intriguing naming.

With a focus on the sisters who have lived on the road, volunteers will use oral history, archival research, heritage walks and open sessions to gather historical memorabilia and materials. A new piece of art work will be commissioned and exhibited as part of the project. We will piece together the stories and collected materials  to produce a dedicated interactive website to share the Seven Sisters Stories.
