Harringay, Haringey - So Good they Spelt it Twice!

Service of Thanksgiving for the Dedication of St Paul's Church - THIS FRIDAY

Hi everyone!  As you may have gathered from previous posts, St. Paul's Church on Wightman Road is celebrating not one, but two anniversaries this year.  It is the 130th anniversary of the establishment of the first St. Paul's church on the Ladder (which was the so-called "Iron Church" which stood on Burgoyne Road before the houses were built).  It is also the 20th anniversary of the dedication of the current church building - in fact the anniversary of the dedication itself is on Thursday.

In order to celebrate these anniversaries, there will be a service of thanksgiving for the dedication of the church building on Friday, 12 July at 7.30 pm.  The service will be a sung Eucharist celebrated by the Rt. Revd. Peter Wheatley, Bishop of Edmonton.  There will be some beautiful music included in the service, sung by the Evensong Choir (a choir of local singers who regularly sing evensong in churches in North London) and the St. Paul's, Harringay Church Choir.

We'll be carrying on the celebrations after the service with some refreshments (hopefully outside if the weather holds, like it's supposed to).

It would be great to see you there!

Finally, everyone at St. Paul's would like to thank everyone who supported our Traditional Summer Fayre on Saturday - we had a fantastic turn out and really enjoyed the day, and we hope you enjoyed it too!
