Harringay, Haringey - So Good they Spelt it Twice!

I've had enough of the filth on the corner of Seymour and Green Lanes (I don't mean Zams but that's not too flash either). Its three things: fly tipping every morning around the little tree; idiots deliberately feeding pigeons; and, most of all, people urinating on the electrical boxes (mostly, but not exclusively, blokes).

I've spoken, nicely, to some of the culprits but you can imagine the responses.

What can I do? Would the council erect some signs if I could show evidence over time to demonstrate the problem or would I be wasting my time asking?

Would the offenders take any notice of the signs ?
If people are urinating on electrical boxes, a little bit of copper wire and bingo - let Darwin take over...
This?

It appears to be draining over the side into the canal, but I'm sure that's an illusion.
Apparently there is one like this in Hoxton Square?????
Maddy, it's after a downpour from the heavens. Nature as cleaning company. :)

Alison, believe that after midnight that whole area becomes a toilet. All those boho oxbridge grads who can't contain their excitement .... or their bladders, after hanging out in one of Hoxtons quirky establishments.
Much more likely to be long-haired, vegetarian, sandal-wearing LSE grads - or goatee-bearded, be-ringed media studies MAs from Reading. Enough with the stereotyping already !! :-)
I'm with you on this one Osbawn - the state of that particular section of road is an absolute disgrace.
It's horrible, agree.

I'm not trying to defend it but it did used to be even worse ... Here is what it looked like in 2002. (Please don't ask me why I have this picture ... !).

Why do you have this picture? :o)
It was my previous career as a (not very successful) private eye. So I was tailing the woman with the brolly and she spotted me at a key moment ....
You're kidding! How cool.
