Hi all;
I've been asked if anyone has any contact details for any relatives of Catherine Nakigude Kibikyo. She lived on Wightman Road and passed away last year. I've found out that a nephew has been in the UK from Uganda to deal with the probabe of the house, but that's about it. No name or contact details. Catherine was a nurse and lived in the UK for about 40 years. Deatils of her passing have been on the site so some people might be familiar with the story. Any help or guidance would be great. Thanks.
Regards,
James Cowling

I only have a suggestion. If Catherine was a nurse for that long she is likely to have been in an NHS pension scheme and at some point probably had to nominate a next of kin. Maybe try the HR department at Chase Farm hospital in the first instance (she apparently worked there). They might have records of next of kin or be able to put you in contact with the relevant people in the pension scheme. I can't imagine it would be a quick process as it won't be somebody's 'job' to help and you might need solicitors etc but it might be an avenue to pursue.
Hi Ozbawn; Thank you for this. I will try that. I have also emailed a couple of nurses to look for some guidance too. She may have belonged to a nurses union. Appreciate your help. Regards,
No problem Cowper. Might also be worth knocking on the door of her neighbours. They might remember something/someone.
Hi again. I've talked to one of the neighbours who told me about the nephew. James
Hi,
I've just searched the NMC register and she isn't on there - but that isn't surprising if she was long retired as it only lists currently registered nurses.
I did find this reference to her on Haringey's website - and I wonder if Chase Farm Hospital might be a starting point?

A nursing friend says you might make a FOI request to the NMC - to see if they have anything on file for her, but that might not include very personal information because of GDPR.
Good luck.
