Harringay, Haringey - So Good they Spelt it Twice!

A project funded through the Making the Difference Fund and waste contractor, Veolia Environmental Services, has brought "Beautiful Beasts" to the centre of Crouch End.

‘Beautiful Beasts’ is an innovative educational sculpture project led by local artist Julie Beech aiming to show how waste can be transformed into something beautiful and inspiring.

A-level students at Greig City Academy and students at Highgate Wood School have created a ‘zoo’ of ‘beautiful beast’ sculptures, through recycling an array of interesting furniture and objects. Eighty per cent of the materials needed to create the sculptures have been sourced from the local Hornsey Reuse and Recycling Centre.

The sculptures will be exhibited to the public downstairs at Riley’s Ice-cream Parlour, Broadway Parade, Crouch End N8 from Tuesday 20th March until Sunday 1st April.
