Harringay, Haringey - So Good they Spelt it Twice!

Does anyone have more information about the gunshots that were fired in Umfreville Road at 1.30 on Saturday Night?. I live there, but heard nothing. My daughter said she saw a house was roped off with many police on Sunday morning. And we received a note asking for witnesses but no explanation as what was going on...any ideas? For peace of mind, I'd like to know if it was a 'crack house' row, KGB hitman, or kids with a starting pistol?

I'm not sure about Saturday night but on Friday night under the Haringey rail bridge my boyfriend and I were on the Number 29 bus. When the doors opened to allow people off the bus we witnessed what can only be described as terrifying. Just as the doors opened we heard a police siren screaming down green lanes then to our amazement we witnessed a hoody / youth / gang disarming themselves of their weapons: glass bottles, long pieces of wood, steel pipes and a 1 metre long pick axe. It's the first time in 4 years that I have actually thanked god I was on the No 29 and as everyone is Harringay is aware - thats saying something.
I was in that vacinity the Friday (8th) before and I saw a large gang (8-10) of youths tooled up with baseball bats, scaffolding rods and axes. The police were there instantly although I don't know if they were caught/arrested.

I was only commenting twenty minutes earlier how safe I feel in Harringay!
Are you sure it wasn't fireworks?
Police said 'gunshot' not me...
Ah yes. If i'd have taken the trouble to actually read your post I would have got that!
