Harringay, Haringey - So Good they Spelt it Twice!

Thousands of joggers will compete to be the first to cross the finish line at London's Olympic Stadium ahead of the 2012 Games.

The Olympic Park Run is offering 5,000 runners of all abilities the chance to take part in a special five-mile run around the £6 billion park on March 31, which finishes with a dash to the line in the 80,000-capacity stadium.

The event is being organised by the National Lottery, with places to be allocated by ballot later this month.

Watch out for more information on the ballot launch date to make sure you're in with a chance to grab your place in this historic event.

If we don't pick it up and you do, please give the rest of us a HoLer!

Was discussing access to the Olympic Park during the games with others recently. It was thought that access to the Olympic Park would not be allowed to non-ticket holders, (in other words, non-ticket holders not allowed access to the stadium and other venues or the space around the venues or 'public' squares/spaces/walkways). Anyone know what is what with this? Looking at the image of the main stadium above, I'd have thought anyone could wander in to the surrounding space outside the stadium and have a look and soak up the Olympic atmosphere; yes/no?
