We have a spare room in our house to let to a lodger. It's a nice Victorian house on the Harringay ladder - close to Turnpike Lane underground and Hornsey station. The room is south-facing on the first floor and has an original fireplace feature. There is a decent-sized living room downstairs with an adjoining dining/breakfast room and a small garden with a patio and shed for bikes. The kitchen has a new gas cooker and a washing machine; the bathroom upstairs has a bath/shower.

We are a group of young professionals ranging in age from 29-41: 2 academics, a lawyer and a specialist in Chinese art. My husband and I commute from Newcastle, so we are at the house 3-4 nights during the week.
