I am in Stoke Newington from the US for the next week. I'm still looking for information on Roller Express at the Arena in th 1940s when my mother, Diana Smith, skated. She was from Upper Holloway. Thanks.

Thank you all for your help. I took my grandchildren to Hazelville Road today to see the old Ritchie House estate and to walk through Upper Holloway. However, I have run out of leads on the post-war Roller Express for which my mother skated. I am still very interested in writing a young adult book about how young women found empowerment and release after serving bravely in the war. I may have to write fiction that combines multiple scenarios - but won't be as historically accurate.
I am still in London through Friday and will take my grandchildren to the RAF museum to learn about her service with the 303 Squadron. If there are other places I should go to learn about Harringay and Noth London, please drop me a line at clyde.bentley@gmail.com.
