RIP Bun & Bar?
Bun & Bar has been closed for renovations for a while, and the “Kofteci Metin” sign seen lurking inside has been hung up. That’s the same name that took over “Thai@Oasis” next to Arena, so I’m assuming they’re moving or expanding to either end of the ladder - can anyone confirm what seems inevitable, that my source for a quick burger and hot fries delivery has ceased to be?

It may be the case but if thats an expanded Metin offering then it would be an immense improvement. Metin is an absolute kofte purist - having eaten there many times I have to say that it is absolutely the best kofte you will have anywhere outside its homeland. He does only kofte, a few starters and a salad and boy does he do it well. Everything on his menu is simple, home made and miles ahead of anything you will eat on Green Lanes, where much of the food apart from salads and meat is straight out of a plastic tub.
