Harringay, Haringey - So Good they Spelt it Twice!

Does anyone have any idea on the cheapest way to replace a lost car key (I have no spare).  The car is fairly old so its just an ordinary key.  I have used a mobile auto locksmith before but it cost an arm and a leg!! Many thanks

I haven't read it, but this thread on MoneySavingExpert.com may have some ideas.
Many thanks, I will have a read.

I got my spare keys for my peugoet at ''GSF car parts'' 284 whightman road (near mosque) they were about 20 quid for two keys, lock & ignition.  BUT they only supply French car model parts.Their tel: 02083417570 - otherwise goto car parts dealer of your car make.

Check your insurance, I had a similar problem ages ago and found I had key insurance, they came straight out, replaced the locks and reconfigured the computer thing all for free.
Thank you every one,  I have now managed to replace the key for £15 after discovering the key code on some of the car's paperwork and getting North London Locksmiths to make a key.  I highly recommend them.
