Harringay, Haringey - So Good they Spelt it Twice!

We have the original lead pipes leading from the water main into our house. We are considering getting Thames water to replace them but were wondering if anyone has any experience with this. From what I've seen here, it will cost about £250 and I assume can only be done by Thames water? If you have any experience with this we would love to hear from you.

Many thanks,

Ian

Thames only own the pipes up to the boundary of your property (i.e. the front garden wall) so you can have a qualified plumber do the work for you. However it is worth asking Thames as they have a subsidised repair/replacement policy for customers' supply pipes under certain conditions. Not sure whether that applies to lead pipes, but worth an ask!

Thanks Grant, I'll give them a call.

Hi Ian. We are thinking of the same thing. Be interested to hear what Thames Water have to say if you don't mind? Cheers. David
