all our lights are dimmed tonight and the electric heaters are running slowly/reduced power. has anyone else noticed similar issues? i assume it has to do with the national grid work.

they're saying it's a substation issue and should be restored by about 8pm

yes they told me they put a higher powered fuse in but that seems to have caused even more problems.

flickering stopped but voltage even lower than yday...oven and stove not working anymore. spoke with them again. they estimate to have it fixed by 20.00. heading to wightman road first. also mentioned to them that problems started after they finished work on cables on warham road and that things are getting worse here.

power cut now

On Seymour now a power cut! Apparently it's expected to come back on at 8.

How weird - our neighbours on both sides have no power and we do??

Seymour road has been closed something happening on wrightman road to do with gas.
Warham road is back on now. Others should follow. This is the message I've received while the power was still off.

Fault seems to have been on Wightman road

Update at 20:15 - We can now confirm that a fault on an underground cables in the Wightman Road area is the cause of the fault. Although we know what's causing your power cut, we still need to locate the fault. To do this we're sending a specialist team. Considering the time it may take to fix the cable, we've changed the estimated time to 01:00. This is for the final customers to be restored, but we're aiming to have the majority of customers on before this.
Does anyone know if pemberton is back on?
Not sure. Latest update from them
Update at 21:25 - Our specialist engineers are now on site and they have managed to divert more electricity around the faulty section of the network, so we know you may be back on already. We'll keep sending text updates to everyone until all the power to your area is on. If you want to stop receiving texts, please just send CANCEL to 80876.
Latest Update at 22:49 - Our engineers are still on site investigating the issue, the estimated time hasn't changed. You may be concerned at this time about the food in your fridge and freezer. Food should keep for between 5-7 hours in the fridge and about 15 hours in the freezer whilst the power is off. It helps if you can avoid frequent opening of the fridge- freezer during this time.
LatestUpdate at 00:16 - Our engineers are still working to fix the fault as quickly as possible. Due to the repairs needed to fix the cable being more difficult than expected, they've made a change to the estimated time for the repair. They're now aiming to have your power back on by 03:00. We appreciate that it can be frustrating for the timeframe to keep changing. If you have any concerns, please give us a call any time on 08003163105 which is free from landlines and mobiles.
