Hello,
we think we might have a wasps nest in back bay window overhang - we were going to call the council pest control service, and wondered if anyone has used them or could recommend any alternatives?
Also seeking a builder/chippy to replace wooden exterior of the bay overhang.
Any recommendations gratefully received.
thanks

I once had a wasps nest right by my back door. I'm afraid that I killed them, they were really too close to allow them to stay. I used a commercial wasp-kiler puffer spray, and did it after dark when they were all asleep and few other insects (esp. bees) were around.
If anyone has a way of moving a nest with them intact and alive I'd like to hear it. Perhaps beekeeper kit?
Wasps are stingy little buggers but they are mostly useful as they predate on bugs that annoy us. In the autumn they munch on fruit trees but at this time of year they are best left to get on with their own thing, if not (almost) inside your house.
I used the council pest control for cockroaches and found them to be very good.
fair price too. I was impressed that sit probably one of the better depts for efficiency and actually do its job properly!!
