Recommendations for Solicitor with experience in housing problems

Hello,

I'm currently in the middle of a compensation dispute with Circle 33, the housing association that I have a shared-ownership flat with. I posted on HoL when the leak and mould was in full flow last winter and got some very sympathetic replies from people who were having a similarly horrible time with this delightful housing association. Circle left an awful leak in my flat for three and a half months, which caused water to flow down the wall 6 inches from my fuse box, mushroom to grow out the ceiling and covered my leather boots in mould. Worst of all, it turned out that the the leak was coming from a broken sewage pipe serving the two upstairs flats.

The leak eventually got mended after three and a half months of me pestering them, and I am now going for compensation. I've spoken with an environmental health specialist who helped me come up with an amount to ask for, but Circle are trying their hardest to palm me off with a token goodwill gesture, so i would like to get some advice from a solicitor. I have also emailed David Lammy about the matter. The two firms that were initially recommended to me weren't taking on any new cases. Does anyone have any recommendations of other firms that I might use? Any advice gratefully received.

Cheers,

Eve

p.s. Just FYI, I've included a picture of the leak at its worst...

Eve, you might like to try Hodge, Jones and Allen in Euston - 180 N. Gower St.   My daughter, Sophie Bell, is a housing solicitor with them and they are pretty tenacious. Their phone number is 0207 874 8300.
