We always advertise free online on spareroom.co.uk.

I've just let my flat privately on openrent. They advertise on a few sites like gumtree, rightmove, zoopla and others for free for 5 days (then you pay if you want more). But we got loads of viewings and they were mostly very nice and serious tenants.. You can then use them to do credit checks, gas certificates etc if you want. I've only used the gas certificate facility. Definitely worth a go... I also posted on here but nothing came of it thati know of. Good luck.
