Harringay, Haringey - So Good they Spelt it Twice!

Afternoon all - I wonder if somebody could recommend a local doctors for me?
my wife has just taken our 2 week old son to the Hornsey Park surgery, where they were
told that he was fine before she had even sat down, let alone explained the reason we'd brought him in.
Various other bits of uninspiring/unprofessional behaviour as well - but this isn't the forum for it.
I'll find somewhere else to complain about them later, but for now, we need to find a doctor who is polite, courteous, professional, listens and cares about their patients. I'd be grateful for any help.
Thanks

If you're in N4 we really like the Heron Practice at the John Scott Health Centre. They're on Green Lanes just past Manor House, so a bit of a trek, but they have some really great doctors.
David, I'll back Dominic's opinion of the Heron Practice, as I've been attending John Scott HC for about 33 years. For the past decade or so they've had difficulties in attracting male doctors to what had become an all-female practice, though now they have one man and about five women. I've always found the head of practice, Dr Meena Krishnamurthy, excellent - with all those qualities you've asked for. As Dominic says, John Scott's in the N4 corner of Hackney but the Heron Practice's "catchment area" has always extended well into Harringay Ladder - so I've never had a problem with GP in Hackney, hospital (Whittington) in Islington while living in Haringey.
And I'll third that - the Heron Practice is terrific. The doctors I've seen there have always been very responsive and sensitive to various needs.
I too had a heartbreakingly rubbish GP when my son was born so I can sympathise. I am now happily registered with Dr. Hass on Umfreville Road, who is excellent and realistic about when it is appropriate to be referred on to a specialist. 0208 482 9697.
My practice is 'Park road surgery', Crouch End.
Every doctor is very polite courteous and professional and listens and cares (except the receptionist who is not polite but helpful, as in the great tradition of doctor receptionists). I researched for a month before deciding on them.

I recommend the practice on Umfreville Road - Dr. Panja is the best doctor I have ever had - he listens, explains, gives the alternatives and basically lets you be in control of what happens. He also knows quite a lot about alternative treatments and is willing to advise and make suggestions and be supportive about non-allopathic approaches, which many doctors refuse to even consider. I wouldn't normally choose a male doctor but have every confidence in him. Having said that his female partner, whose name escapes me is also very patient-centred.
Yes, Doctor Panja is very professional and Dr Ferrer is very good also.
i agree. I would recommend both Dr Panja and Dr Ferrar are both great doctors, who take time and never rush you.
Thanks very much to everyone - the wife and and boy are now safely registered at Umfreville
I'm not sure which practice, but she's very happy with them.
