Harringay, Haringey - So Good they Spelt it Twice!

Reclaimed Victorian floorboards - where can you get them....?

.....if you aren't a millionaire?

I can't seem to find many places selling reclaimed floorboards at a reasonable price. Has anyone on the ladder who has renovated their house found any good places to get reclaimed floorboards? I think I need about 30 sq m, so it's not just a few boards?

Any help much appreciated.

Hi RNM

We have some floorboards! I'll add you as a connection so I can PM you.

Thanks everyone! Have tried LASSCO but I would need to remortgage for most of the floorboards on there! Gillian, I've connected and will also try the reclamation yard. Thank you again!

Hi Gillian,

do you still have a spare board or 2 going?

Sorry - they've all gone!

Hi there,

Just did my whole house and this was the cheapest place I could find

www.west7reclamation.co.uk/ - You have to go there with a sample and they match it, they also deliver but you should still go there for the match. They had a lot of boards but you have to sand them yourself or find someone to do it.

I guess it cost me £30-£32 a square meter if you include hiring the sander and a lot of sweat.

They also trimmed the thickness to match for free.

If you do get some can you let me know as I need an additional board or 2 for my hallway.

Thanks

Thanks for these tips- has anyone else found somewhere local-ish selling reclaimed floorboards? W7 seems quite far with no car... We need about 6 square metres.
Maybe I should have started a new thread... the original poster started this 3 years ago! Yes, I will be trying to match them to existing floorboards. I can PM you with details.
